OBITUARY ~ VIENNA ELIZABETH (CLEVER) FULLERTON

Vienna Elizabeth CLEVER, daughter of Martin and Elizabeth CLEVER, was born April 25, 1864, at Pittsburg[h], Pa., and departed this life Feb. 28, 1935, at Tingley, Iowa, at the age of 80 years, 10 months and 2 days.

She was a member of a family of 9 children, who moved from Pennsylvania to Albia, Iowa, when the (sic) was 15 years old. During her childhood days, she attended the Lutheran church, later becoming a member of the Service United Presbyterian church, 4 miles north of Albia.

She was united in marriage on Feb. 12, 19874, to Oscar FULLERTON, who preceded her in death Jan. 12, 1932. They came to Ringgold County in the same year of their marriage, and lived with John COIE for one year, then moved to their own home two miles north of Tingley. In this home their four children were born. One of them, Mary Elizabeth, passed away at the age of 3 1/2 years, and was laid to rest in the Eugene cemetery.

Mrs. FULLERTON, with Mr. FULLERTON, helped to establish the old Eugene church, later moving their membership with the congregation to Shannon City, taking an active part in re-establishing the church there. Four years later they transferred their membership to the Tingley congregation.

They moved to Tingley in 1901, and resided there for nine years. They, with their three children and families, moved to Atkinson, Neb., in March, 1910. After the death of her husband, she made her home in Tingley, Iowa.

She is survived by one sister and one brother, her three children, Martin J. and Robert E. of Atkinson, Neb., and Lulu R. HALL of Tingley, Iowa; 15 grandchildren, and three great grandchildren, who mourn her death.

Her illness dates back 2 1/2 years, most of that time being confined to her bed. Her children were with her during the last days of her illness, and at the time of her death. She was a kind and loving mother, and the many relatives and friends can truly say, "She fought a good fight, she finished her course, she kept the faith, and now she wears the crown."

NOTE: Vienna was interred at Tingley Cemetery.
