OBITUARY ~ SUSAN A. (LABBE) FOLGELMAN
October 09, 1839 ~ August 17, 1921

SUSAN A. LABBE was born in Ohio, October 9, 1839; died at Comstock, Nebraska, August 17, 1921, being at the time of her death 81 years, 8 months and 8 days old. She came to Ringgold County, Iowa, when still in youth. She was united in marriage to Gaston M. FOGLEMAN. To this union were born ten children, MRS. Flora GIBBES, of Sargent, Nebraska; David J., of Greeley, Colorado; Albert F., of Sargent, Nebraska; Mrs. Mary BROWN, of Hastings, Nebraska and Mrs. Rosa BROWN, of Grand River, Iowa; all of who survive her. Iaa B., Maude D., Lillian M. and Lucy J., who with her husband have preceded her to the Great Beyond.

She was known as a loving mother and neighbor, loved by all who knew her. She was converted in her youth and united with the Presbyterian Church there. After living a true and earnest Christian life, inspiring all with whom she came in contact, expressing her thoughts only a few days before her death that she was watching and waiting for the summons to take her flight to be around the Great White Throne with loved ones gone before.

The body was shipped back to her old home at Maloy, Iowa, August 20th and a short service held at the grave [Platte River Cemetery] by Rev. E.C. VANDERPOOL. Interment in Maloy Cemetery beside her husband.
