NOTICE of DEATH - FAY GREEN, Mount Ayr
MOUNT AYR - Faye GREEN, 99, of Mount Ayr, formerly of Ellston, died April 22, 1999, at the Clearview Home in Mount Ayr.
Services were 1:30 p.m. April 26 at the United Methodist Church in Ellston. The Rev. Jeff FLAGG officiated with burial
in the Ellston Cemetery. The Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe Street, Mount Ayr, had charge of
arrangements. Memorials may be directed to the United Methodist Church in Ellston or the Clearview Home in Mount Ayr.

FAYE (ADAMS) GREEN
Faye GREEN was born September 20, 1899 to Frank ADAMS and Martha CAMPBELL ADAMS on a farm in Worth County, Missouri just
south of Athelstan, Iowa. Faye departed this life April 22, 1999 at the age of 99 years and seven months at the Clearview
Nursing Home in Mount Ayr, Iowa.
She was united in marriage to Raymond GREEN on January 11, 1935 in Des Moines, Iowa.
As a young girl Faye moved to Ellston, Iowa where her father had bought the hardware store. The rest of her life she
lived in or around Ellston until moving to Clearview Home in Mount Ayr, with her husband in September of 1988, where
he still resides.
Faye attended Capitol City Commercial College in Des Moines then worked at the Ellston Bank until its closing. She was
secretary at the Ellston school and held other jobs over the years.
Faye was loved and respected by all who knew her for her friendly, happy, helpful personality.
She took active part in the Ellston United Methodist Church, holding various offices and always teaching Sunday school.
She was active in the community activities until deteriorating health prevented her from participating further.
Left to mourn her passing are her husband Raymond; a son by her first marriage, Raymond ANDERSON and wife Ramona of Sun
Valley Lake, Ellston; a granddaughter Suzanne CHRISTENSEN and husband John of Denver, Colorado; a grandson Steve ANDERSON
and wife Nadine of Aberdeen, South Dakota; a step-great-grandson, Tristan LABADIE; one great-grandson, Carsten ANDERSON;
one great-granddaughter, Fallon ANDERSON; several nieces and nephews and their families.
Preceding Faye in death were her parents; three brothers, Earl, Paul and Lloyd; two sisters and husbands, Evelyn JACKSON
and Alice WALTERS; and nieces and nephews.
Services for Faye were held April 26, 1999 at the Ellston United Methodist Church with Reverend Jeff FLAGG officiating.
Musicians were Mr. and Mrs. Maurice JONES and Mrs. Leo MORGAN. Casketbearers were Faye's nephews.
Faye was laid to rest
at the Ellston Cemetery.
