OBITUARY - F. LOUISE GIERHART
F. Louise GIERHART, 78, Beatrice, died unexpectedly at the Ringgold County Hospital in Mount Ayr, Iowa, on Monday,
September 6, 2004, while vacationing. She was born on September 3, 1926, in Beatrice [NE], had lived in Beatrice most of
her life, and was a 1943 graduate of Holmesville High School at Holmesville. She and Wayne E. GIERHART were married on
April 30, 1943, at Marysville, Kan. She had farmed with her husband and had been employed at the Holtmeier Sale Barn and
at the former Formfit company. She was a member of the Church of the Brethren, rural Holmesville, and enjoyed bowling and
was president of her bowling league for several years. She also enjoyed golf, her Extension club, crafts, and painting.
Survivors: husband, Wayne E.; son, Russell GIERHART and wife Kathy of York; daughters, Barbara RYPMA and husband John of
Beatrice, and Charlene AMADOR and husband Jim of Canyon Lake, Calif.; grandchildren, James GIERHART, Tammy MORSE, Teresa
RYPMA, Jody MEYER, Tanya AMADOR and Seth AMADOR; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert SANDER and wife Betty of
Garden Valley, Calif., George "Dick" SANDER and wife Jane of Atlanta, Ga., Carl SANDER and wife Patti of Oklahoma City,
Okla., Edgar SANDER and wife Cordy of New Castle, Calif.; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents,
George W. (1986) and Frieda (SCHNEEPFLOCK) SANDER (1981); sister, Elizabeth HOLLINGSWORTH; and an infant granddaughter.
Funeral: 9:30 a.m. Friday, September 10, Church of the Brethren, rural Holmesville, the Rev. Jack MAGNESS officiating.
Family prayer service: 9:15 a.m. Friday at the church. Burial: church cemetery. The body will lie in state Thursday from
10 a.m.-9 p.m. at the Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel, Sixth and Washington Streets, Beatrice, and at the church one hour
preceding the services. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the Gage County Heart Fund and the Church
of the Brethren, rural Holmesville, with the mortuary in charge. Messages of condolence may be sent to:
