OBITUARY - GEORGIA (MITCHELL) FRIDAY

Georgia FRIDAY, 95, of Mount Ayr, died December 20, 2004, at Clearview Home in Mount Ayr.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday, December 23, at Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Montgomery St., Mount Ayr. The Rev. Alan SMITH will officiate the service. Burial will be in Honey Grove Cemetery, north of Grant City, Mo. Open visitation will be noon to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home in Mount Ayr. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Central Iowa, Mount Ayr branch. Mrs. FRIDAY, daughter of Audrey (DRUMMINGS) and Robert MITCHELL, was born May 19, 1909, north of Grant City, Mo. In 1931, she married Don Otto FRIDAY in Grant City, Mo. She worked as a receptionist for Dr. Duane MITCHELL in Mount Ayr.

Survivors include three children, Estelle Lea ATKINS of St. Joseph, Mo., Donald Lew (wife Sally) FRIDAY of Council Bluffs and James William (wife Lois) FRIDAY of Iowa City; a brother, Dr. Duane (wife Joy) MITCHELL of Mount Ayr; a sister, Doris ARNOLD of St. Joseph, Mo.; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Lois FRIDAY; sister Ada RAY; and two brothers, Robert and Dale FRIDAY.
