M. FREIHAGE DIES - AFTON

Margaret FREIHAGE, 78, of rural Afton, passed away Sunday, August 31, 1986, at Greater Community Hospital in Creston.

She was born Sept. 15, 1907, in Lorimor, the daughter of Henry and Katherine (FISHER) BEVINS. On August 7, 1926, she married Grant A. FREIHAGE in Mount Ayr.

She was a lifetime resident of Ringgold and Union Counties. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist Church.

Mrs. FREIHAGE is survived by her husgand, Grant; a daughter, Helen and husband Paul HUSTED of Westminster, Colo.; three sons, Larry and wife, Reta, of Kellerton, Robert and wife, Betty, of Galena, Mo., and Dean and wife, Sharon, of Loveland, Colo.; 13 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Mary BROWN of Corydon; and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Lora FREIHAGE of Creston.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, and a great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at the Stroud-Lindsay Funeral Home in Afton with Rev. John TUNNICLIFF officiating. Burial will be at the Clark Cemetery at Winterset.

A memorial has been established to the Afton United Methodist Church.
