GRANT ALFRED FREIHAGE DIES - Afton

Grant Alfred FREIHAGE, 79, of Afton, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 1987, at the Greater Community Hospital at Creston.

He was born Oct. 13, 1907, in Denison, the son of John Peter and Frieda (PIEMAN) FREIHAGE. On August 7, 1926, he married Margaret BEVINS in Mt. Ayr. She preceded him in death on Aug. 31. 1986.

Mr. FRIEHAGE lived all of his adult life in Union and Ringgold counties. He was a farmer, retiring in 1979.

He is survived by three sons, Larry and wife, Reta of Kellerton; Robert and wife, Betty of Galena, Mo., and Dean and wife, Sharon FREIHAGE of Loveland, Colo.; a daughter, Helen and husband Paul HUSTED of Westminster, Colo.; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, three brothers and a sister.

Funeral services were held Friday morning at the Stroud-Lindsay Funeral Home in Afton with the Rev. John TUNNICLIFF officiating. Burial was at the Clark Cemetery at Winterset.

Memorials may be directed to the Afton United Methodist Church.
