OBITUARY - MARY ELIZABETH OVERMIRE-FRAME

Mary Elizabeth OVERMIRE, a daughter of Silas and Martha OVERMIRE, was born on a farm midway between Clearfield and Lenox, on May 17, 1872, and she passed away at her home near Clearfield, on June 31, 1937, aged 67 years and 16 days.

Her early childhood was spent on the farm with her parents. During those years she attended the public school of Lenox.

It was on Oct. 19, 1898, that she and Clarence FRAME were united in marriage. They began this part of their life on a farm three miles south of Clearfield, then moved to Lenox, where she spent 14 years on a farm. They then moved to Clearfeld, where for the last 21 years they have resided on the farm northeast of town. Six children were born to this union, three of whom proceded her in death, Marion, paul and Etton.

She is survived by her husband, Clarence, two sons - Glenn and Floyd - of Clearfield, and a daughter, Eunice CALKIN, also of Clearfield. Nine grandchildren. Two sisters, Edna HEWITT of Lenox and Lellie CRITTENDEN of Downey, California - and many other relatives, neighbors and friends.

She began her Christian life by united with the Presbyterian church of Lenox.

Upon moving to Clearfield she had her membership transferred to the Methodist Church. Her chirstian life was mor to her than a membership, for we have seen many times evidence of an unselfish spirit in her service to mankind, and more especially to her friends and needy neighbors. In the home, she was an inspiration to her children. So deep was her concern and loving care that there will always be a loving memory for a mother and wife gone to glory. Surely, she has earned her reward.
