OBITUARY - ALICE (WIMER) FLETCHER
Alice FLETCHER, 92, of Creston died November 22, 2006, at Greater Regional Medical Center in Des Moines.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 25, at Coen-Beaty-Pearson Family Funeral Service, 809 W. Montgomery St. The Rev.
Chuck SPINDLER of Crest Baptist Church will officiate the service. Burial will be in Diagonal Cemetery. Open visitation
will be 1 to 8 p.m. today with the family receiving friends 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be

Alice FLETCHER, daughter of Frances (SMITH) and John WIMER, was born January 2, 1914, near Mount Ayr in Ringgold County. She
graduated from Mount Ayr High School in 1932. On September 12, 1936, Alice married Everett Troy FLETCHER in Grant City, Mo.
She lived most of her life in Ringgold County. She was baptized in the Baptist Church at Mount Ayr. She was a homemaker and

BIRD, all of Creston, David FLETCHER (special friend Barb PICKETT) of Grand Junction, Colo., Peggy (husband Ted) OLSON of
Mitchellville, Richard FLETCHER (special friend Cindy LOVE) of Afton, Tom FLETCHER and Charles (wife Roxie) FLETCHER, all
of Diagonal, Steve FLETCHER of Mount Ayr; daughter-in-law Bonnie FLETCHER of Diagonal; sister Ruth (husband Leslie)
SALTZMAN of Denver, Iowa; sister-in-law Lavina WIMER of Mount Ayr; 26 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; one
great-great-grandson; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 1987; son Ed FLETCHER; brother Howard WIMER; and six sisters, Leona,
Irene, Gladys, Hazel, Vera and Helen Jean.
