OBITUARY - EVERETT R. FERREE

Mr. Everett R. FERREE, age 79, of Urbandale, Iowa, died April 10, 2000 at the Kavanagh House on Grand Avenue.

Mr. FERREE was born in Mount Ayr, Iowa and lived in the Des Moines, Iowa area for 54 years. He was a U.S. Navy World War II veteran. He was employed by CT Automotive and J.C. Penney's, retiring in 1991.

He was a member of the Isaac Walton League and Acanthus Lodge. Mr. FERREE enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, shelling at the ocean, and he loved the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Survivors include his wife Yvonne FERREE of Urbandale; sons, Fred FERREE of Urbandale and Jim FERREE of Des Moines; daughter Debbie EVANS of Des Moines; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and sisters, Louise ALEXANDER of Des Moines and Vincel CASADY of Houston, Texas.

Memorial services were held Friday, April 14, 2000 at the Frist United Methodist Church. A private interment was held at Resthaven Cemetery, West Des Moines.

Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church or Kavanagh House on Grand Avenue.

McLaren's Resthaven Chapel, West Des Moines was in charge of the arrangements.
