Mount Ayr Record News
Mount Ayr, Ringgold County, Iowa

OBITUARY ~ ARTHUR H. DEIBERT.

Arthur Harold DEIBERT, son of Earl and Anna Mae STEPHENS DEIBERT, was born on a farm near Delphos, Iowa, on January 12, 1913, and passed away at the Ringgold county Hospital at the age of 66 years, three months and nine days. He received his education at Delphos and Kellerton, Iowa, and Central high school at St. Joseph, Mo.

On January 2, 1935, he was married to Viola WARDRIP, whom he cared for so patiently and lovingly. He was active in the Masonic Eastern Star, and the I.O.O.F. Lodges, and was a member of the First Christian Church.

Arthur, as he was known to all, will be remembered for his quick wit and helping and sharing with others. He loved working the soil, farming, growing vegetables and flowers, then sharing them with his neighbors and friends. He especially enjoyed little children, their winning smiles and humorous conversations.

Those preceding him in death were his mother, Anne, and an infant sister, Beulah Belle. Artie will be greatly missed by his lovely wife, Viola; his father, Earl, and brother, George, both of St. Joseph, Mo.; a sister, Mildred FOLTZ of Boulder, Colo., and a sister, Donella HARTMAN, of Mount Ayr; two brother-in-law, Forrest FOLTZ and Ivan HARTMAN; a sister-in-law, Gladys DEIBERT; nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

BROTHER ARTIE

All he asks
Of the world today
Is the strength to live
In his own good way.

To chat with friends
His chosen few
On the days he feels
So lonely and blue

He believes in the words
As quoted by his mother
"In the Bible is says
To Love One Another."

~ Written by his loving sister, Mildred FOLTZ

Funeral services were conducted at Rhoades-Wilson Funeral Home in Mount Ayr at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 24, 1980, by Pastors Phil and Doris KINTON. A Masonic Service was led by L. W. (Joe) GROSE. Interment was made in Rose Hill Cemetery, Mount Ayr.
