Mount Ayr Record News
Mount Ayr, Ringgold County, Iowa

OBITUARY ~ MRS. EARL DEIBERT.

Anna Mae STEPHENS, daughter of Stacy C. and Rosa Belle STEPHENS, was born near Delphos, Ringgold County, Iowa, on May 31, 1889, and passed away at the University hospital in Iowa City on August 31, 1941, at the age of 52 years and three months.

She was united in marriage to Arthur Earl DEIBERT, of Delphos, Iowa, April 8, 1908. To this union five children were born, one of whom, Beulah Belle, died in infancy. The surviving children are George DEIBERT of St. Joseph, Mo., Arthur H. DEIBERT of Delphos, Mildred C. FOLTZ of Albuquerque, N.M., and Donella Mae HARTMAN of Conway, Mo.

In early childhood she united with the Baptist church of Delphos, later transferring her membership to the Christian church of that place. At the time of her death she was a member of the Christian church at Kellerton.

Her health had been failing since November, 1940, and complications set in as a result of an over-worked heart. She was very energetic and a home-loving mother, giving much attention to it. As a God-loving Christian mother she was faithful to her husband and children, cherishing life most when surrounded by her children.

Her parting from this life is our loss but her gain. She is now in the presence of God in the land where there is no sorrow, pain or death, but everything is joy and gladness and it is our goal to meet her there when this short life is over; when there will be no parting or saying goodbye.

Besides her husband and four children, she is survived by one grandchild, Ardella La Vonne DEIBERT of St. Joseph, Mo.; twin sisters, Mrs. J. O. RICHARDSON of Delphos and Mrs. Oscar ROBERTS of Ellston; three brothers, George STEPHENS of Clearfield, T. J. STEPHENS and Clarence STEPHENS of Delphos, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at the Rhoades Funeral Home on Wednesday afternoon, September 3, by the Rev. Thomas KELLY, pastor of the Methodist church.

[Interment was made at Rose Hill Cemetery, Mount Ayr, Iowa.]

Card of Thanks.

We wish to take this means of thanking the friends and neighbors who extended words of sympathy and for their floral tributes which were extended to us in the recent bereavement of our wife and mother, Mrs. Earl DEIBERT. - Earl DEIBERT, George A. DEIBERT, Arthur H. DEIBERT, Mrs. Mildred FOLTZ, Mrs. Donella HARTMAN.
