OBITUARY ~ OSCAR CROCKETT

Oscar CROCKETT, 86, died Monday afternoon at a local health care center [Tiffany Square Convalescent Center].

He was born at Bethel, KY., and moved to Missouri in 1909, residing in Weston, Mo. Later he made his home and farmed in the DeKalb, Mo., area until retiring.

He was a life member of the Wellington Lodge No. 22 A.F. & A.M. at DeKalb. On April 13, 1979, he celebrated his 50th anniversary with the Masonic Lodge.

In 1973, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie CROCKETT.

Surviving are a daughter, Lorene PETERS, St. Joseph, MO; three sons, George CROCKETT, Weston, MO, Eugene CROCKETT and Duane CROCKETT, both of DeKalb; a brother, J. R. CROCKETT, Weston; two sisters, Mrs. Howard WOODRING, Weston, and Dee BLAKLEY, Weston; 16 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Rupp Funeral Home Chapel with a Masonic service following under the direction of the Wellington Lodge No. 22 A.F. & A.M. Burial in the Westlawn Cemetery at DeKalb [MO].

OSCAR CROCKETT

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Rupp Chapel, Rev. Don MUTER officiating. Interment Westlawn Cemetery. The Pallbearers will be Alan CROCKETT, Douglas CROCKETT, Davy CROCKETT, Barry PETERS, Bill CROCKETT and Darrell STEPHENS. Masonic Services will be under the direction of Wellington Lodge No. 22 A.F. & A.M. at the Chapel following the services.
