OBITUARY ~ CALEB M. COATS
July 26, 1972 ~ November 03, 2014

Caleb M. Couts, 42, of Keosauqua, until recently of Oskaloosa, died at 7:52 A.M. Monday November 3, 2014 at Van Buren County Hospital, Keosauqua. He was bom July 26, 1972 at Maryville, MO to George and Lesa Perry Couts and married Katherine McElroy November 12, 2005 in Jubilee Family Church, Oskaloosa. Caleb grew up in Mount Ayr, graduated from Mount Ayr Community High School, and attended William Penn University, Oskaloosa. He had lived in Omaha, NE, many years in Oskaloosa and moved to Keosauqua in September, 2014.

He had been employed at Pioneer Seed Company, Hedrick and was a member of the Jubilee Family Church, Oskaloosa and had recently attended Heritage Baptist Church, Keosauqua.

Surviving are his wife, five step children, Ann Campbell of Douds, Darcy Johnson of Keokuk, Ryan McDowell of Mt. Pleasant and Arabella Carpio of Hot Springs, AR, three step grandchildren, his mother, Lesa Perry Nuri of Phoenix, AZ, two brothers, Cody Couts and Adam Jordan, two sisters, Samiyra Nuri and Elisia Gonzales and a step brother, Jacob Westby.

He was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents who raised him, Merrill and Sue Perry.

Services were held Friday, November 7, 2014 at the Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds, Iowa with Pastors Bill Tvedt and Phil Campbell officiating.

Bearers were Carlan George, Adam Jordan, J.D. Duvall, Jacob Westby, Mike Avitt, Levi State, Kevin Hauger, Mark Avitt and Don Workman.

Memorials to the family to help with final expenses may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 916 Country Lane Road, Apt. 48, Keosauqua, IA 52565.
