OBITUARY ~ BEVERLY EUGENE "BEV" CLAYTON

Beverly Eugene "Bev" CLAYTON was born September 9, 1926 in Ringgold county, Iowa to Earl and Mary Louise (WISE) CLAYTON.

Bev attended high school in Clearfield, Iowa. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.

On December 23, 1950, he was united in marriage to Margarete Beth CLAISER in Los Angeles, California.

Returning to Iowa, Bev was a farmer and operated a well drilling business and a crop spraying business. He had lived in Bella Vista, Arkansas the past eight years. He was a member of Saint Bernard Catholic Church.

Bev passed away at his home in Bella Vista on Monday, July 15, 2002.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife on March 12, 2001; and two brothers, Bill and Jim CLAYTON.

Bev is survived by his two daughters, Catherine CLAYTON of San Marcus, Texas, and Virginia "Ginny" CLAYTON of Bella Vista, Arkansas; one grandson, Clayton James BOWMAN; a sister-in-law, Norma CLAYTON of Clearfield; and other relatives and friends.

Graveside services were held Monday, July 22, 2002 at the Clearfield Cemetery, Clearfield, with Father Dan SIEPKER officiating. Military rites were conducted by Woodside Post #97 American Legion.

Wilson-Watson & Armstrong Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
