OBITUARY ~ EULIA MARGARET (FIVECOAT) CHRISTIAN

Eulia Margaret CHRISTIAN was born March 31, 1914 at Murray, Iowa to James Grover and Genevieve Margaret (ANTON) FIVECOAT.

At an early age, Eulia moved with her family to Chicago, Illinois. She was united in marrage to Francis Oliver CHRISTIAN on December 27, 1948 in Chicago.

Eulia was a waitress and an avid Cubs fan. Living near Wrigley Field gave her an opportunity to cheer on her team as often as she could.

Francis passed away on April 19, 1990 and Euila moved to Creston, Iowa in 1994. She was acitve in Holy Spirit Catholic Church, helped with the Congregate Meal Site and volunteered at the hospital. In 1997 Eulia made Clearview Home in Mount Ayr her home. She attended Saint Joseph's Catholic Church whenever possible. Eulia passed away at Clearview Home on September 8, 2002.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother-in-law Alfred SHOWERS; and a great-nephew Gary CAMPBELL.

Eulia is survived by her sister Mary SHOWERS of Mount Ayr; a niece Genevieve ROACH; great-niece Robin BIRKENHOLZ; great-nephew Bill THURMAN; three great-great-neices and one great-great-nephew.

A funeral Mass was conducted September 10, 2002 at Saint Joseph's Catholic Church in Mount Ayr, Iowa with Father Thomas DOOLEY officiating. Nancy SACKETT provided the organ music.

A comittal service was held in Rosehill Cemetery in Chicago, Illinois on September 11, 2002.

Wilson-Watson & Armstrong Funeral Home in Mount Ayr was in charge of the arrangements.
