OBITUARY ~ PHYLLIS PAULINE (BRYAN) LENTZ ROBERTS CARSON

Phyllis Pauline CARSON was born to Everett and Gladys (McCLAIN) BRYAN on December 1, 1929 on a farm between Clio and Lineville, Iowa. She departed this life on September 15, 2007 in Seymour, Iowa, where she had been a resident in the Continental Care Center.

Phyllis was raised on the farm helping with farm chores and helping her mother with the gardening and canning while attending country school.

Phyllis was married to Morris LENTZ and they had one daughter, Kathy. She later married Gerald ROBERTS. She lived in Des Moines, Iowa, for several years and then moved back to Lineville and was married to Earl CARSON on January 22, 1973. They made their home on the farm where she helped Earl with the farm work and working with the cattle and hogs. In her leisure she enjoyed country music and riding horses.

Preceding Phyllis in death were her parents; husbands, Earl and Morris, and a granddaughter, Tina RAGAN.

Left to mourn her passing are her daughter, Kathy HUGGINS; granddaughters, Connie and husband Rod FRIDLEY; and great-grandchildren, Amanda FRIDLEY and Brandon ROSS.

Graveside services were held at the Evergreen Cemetery in Lineville on Wednesday, September 19, 2007, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Edward SHIELDS officiating. Wilson-Watson & Armstrong Funeral Home of Mount Ayr took care of the arrangements.
