OBITUARY ~ PATRICIA JOANN (POHLMAN) CALLIES
June 11, 1935 ~ May 22, 2015

Patricia JoAnn (Pohlman) Callies, daughter of Mary Margaret (Lavus) Pohlman and Clyde L. Pohlman, was born June 11, 1935 in Fort Dodge, Iowa.

She attended school in Eagle Grove. Patricia married Herbert Dwain Callies on June 6, 1962 in Miami, OK. In 1972, the family moved from Kansas City, MO to a farm southeast of Clearfield where Dwain farmed and raised cattle in addition to his excavating business. Patricia was a farm wife, had in home child care and was a nurse aide at the Clearview Home in Clearfield. She always had a meal for anyone who stopped by and loved spending time with her family.

Patricia passed away May 22, 2015 at the Hospice House in Creston.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; husband Dwain; sisters Margaret Ford and Barb Hansen.

Survivors include her children Candias (Randall) Nickle of Clearfield, Joe Callies of Clearfield, Karen Baker & fiancÚ Dave Maudlin of Diagonal, Curtis (Renae) Carlson of Nebraska and Vicky Eichelberger of Nebraska; grandchildren Nathan (Stasia) Nickle, Natasha (Mitch) Gourley, Justin (Kodikae) Callies, Codie Callies, Rocky (friend Tiffany Brown) Baker, Colby (Bailley) Baker, Brittney Baker (fiancÚ Brian Otto), Brock (Bethaney) Eichelberger and Nickolas Eichelberger, Shannon, Cory (Suzan) Carlson, and Brandi Carlson; great grandchildren Brynn, Breya, and Brittlyn Nickle, Tytan and Brogan Gourley; Wyatt, Payton and Haze Baker, Bree and Boe Otto, Chloe, Noah, Piper; sister Sandy (Gerald) Andrews of Eagle Grove; brother Gary (Vi) Coleman of Eagle Grove; nieces and nephews, Galen (Jen) Andrews, Rod Coleman, Randy Coleman, Cindy Nelson, Jody Luh, Kimberly McCollough, Kevin Ford and Deb Svleson; her dog Mitzie.

Services were held at the Clearfield United Methodist Church at Clearfield, Iowa on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Officiating the service was Rev. Shurmaine McAlpine. Casketbearers were Nathan Nickle, Lonnie Votava, Rocky Baker, John Pirtle, Colby Baker and C.R. Larsen. Honorary casketbearer was Larry Brammer. Burial is in the Clearfield Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established to the Food Pantry in Clearfield.
