OBITUARY - SUSAN (ROBINSON) DOWLING

Miss Susan ROBINSON was born in Newark, Ohio, on October 31, 1850. In early life she moved to Illinois, later coming to Ringgold County, where she resided until her death on October 3, 1910. She lacked exactly four weeks of being 60 years of age.

She was united in marriage to John DOWLING in 1867. To them were born seven children, two dying in infancy. The survivors are, W. M., John and Frank and Misses Sada and Margery.

In 1887 Mrs. DOWLING united with the Methodist church at Mt. Ayr under the pastorate of Rev. VOLLMAR. She has been an active and consistent christian since that time.

Mrs. DOWLING was much esteemed by all her acquaintances. She was a home woman and was devoted to her husband and children. Many expressions of her esteem are heard. The funeral was held yesterday afternoon conducted by Rev. W. F. HARDAWAY. Interment was in the Rose Hill cemetery [Mount Ayr].

Card of Thanks.

We wish to express our appreciation of the evidences of affection for our loved one that were made manifest by friendly acts and words and floral offerings. We hope that in like circumstances you may have similiar treatment.
