Mr. Jos. DOUBET died at his home at about 9:45 on Monday evening. He had been confined to his bed for months, and was known to be in a precarious condition. Mr. Doubet has lived in this community from pioneer days, owning a large farm just west of town, and was very active in business until within a few years.

The funeral is announced for Thursday afternoon at the home, at probably two o'clock. A suitable obituary will be given next week.

On the 22d of October, 1878, Mr. DOUBET was united in marriage to Miss Elizabeth BRICKEY, a native of Missouri, where she was educated and was engaged for some time as a teacher. She survives him along with with seven children, namely: Nellie, the wife of Horace BAKER, of Beaconsfield, Ringgold county, Iowa; Margaret, who is following the occupation of teaching; Gertrude; Mabel and Edith, who are also teachers; Florence and Dorothy, who are still under the parental roof.

Interment was at Clearfield Cemetery.
