OBITUARY ~ MARIETTA (BAUMAN) DEWEY

Mrs. Ida Turner and Mrs. Sherman Baumann were called to Shannon City Thursday on account of the death of Mrs. John Dewey, who passed away Wednesday evening. Mrs. Dewey was a sister of Mrs. Turner and Mrs. Baumann.

She was making her home with her two daughters, Mrs. Norma Giles and Mrs. Hazel Vanderplume, who lived just one-half mile apart. She had been at the Vanaerplume home and was on her way to the Giles home, but as she did not arrive at the latter place, they went to look for her and found her dead in the road. Mrs. John Dewey had been in poor health for some time.
