OBITUARY - SHERMAN DEHART

Sherman DEHART was born in Worth County, Mo., September 10, 1866, and departed this life at St. Joseph [MO] June 18, 1926, at the age of 59 years, 9 months and 9 days.

He was united in marriage to Desda SPENCER September 27, 1897. To this union was born 9 children, 5 daughters and 4 sons: daughters, Mrs. Lena MOORE and Mrs. Ruth SWEENY (sic, should be SWEENEY) of Iowa, Misses Julia, Ruby and Frances of Hatfield [MO]; sons, Luke of St.Louis [MO], Cleo, Lowman and Duane at home. He was converted and united with the Latter Day Saints twenty years ago.

Those left to mourn his death are his wife and children, a sister, Mrs. John WHITE of St. Joseph [MO], two brothers, Grant DEHART of Mount Ayr and A. J. DEHART of St. Louis, and a number of other relatives. His sisters and brothers who have preceeded him are Mrs. A. J. HALL, Mrs. Moses HARDY, Mrs. A. P. DAVIS, George A. DEHART, J. S. DEHART and A. C. DEHART.

Funeral services was held from the L.D.S. church, conducted by Elder J. B. STEAD of Lamoni [IA]. Interment in the Kirk cemetery [Allendale, MO].
