OBITUARY - CLEDA F. (COMBS) DANIALS

Cleda F. DANIALS, daughter of Charlie and Lille Mae (WILKINSON) COMBS, was born June 26, 1905, at Allendale, Worth County, Missouri. She died April 25, 1998, at the Clearview Home in Mount Ayr where she had resided since January 1991.

She was married to Walter E. DANIALS on July 15, 1931, and he died on April 5, 1955.

Cleda's education began in the rurual Lotts Grove School near Allendale. The family moved to Redding, IA, in 1920, and she graduated from high school there with the class of 1924. Following graduation, she attended Iowa State University for two years, taught school for a number of years, then earned her B.S. Degree from Northwest Missouri State University in 1940. Her later employment was with the Iowa State Extension Service and the Farmers Home Administration. She retired in 1967 and moved to her home in Mount Ayr.

Cleda enjoyed her retirement years through participation in many activities and organizations. She will always be remembered as one who set goals and for her determination to achieve. She was a member of the Mount Ayr United Methodist Church, Chapter CK P.E.O., Order of the Eastern Star, and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Cleda was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Cecil COMBS, Harley COMBS, Wilma "Tim" COMBS, and John COMBS; sister, Gladys THOMPSON and Ruby JENNINGS.

She is survived by a brother Harold W. "Bib" COMBS and wife Maxine of Mount Ayr; sisters-in-law, Vera COMBS of Redding and Freda COMBS of Clearfield; nieces; nephews and friends.

Services were held at United Methodist Church, Mount Ayr, Tyesday, April 28, 1:30 o'clock. Officiating was Rev. Michael DRUHL

Casketbearers were Donald COMBS, Burl ARKLE, Earl COMBS, Mike COMBS, Gleason COMBS and Carl E. COMBS

Burial was in the Redding Cemetery, Redding, IA.
