OBITUARY - AGNES GRACE (MAGILL) CRISWELL

Agnes Grace CRISWELL, daughter of Arthur and Jane MAGILL, was born January 4, 1856, in St. Louis, Mo., and passed away January 21, 1929, at the home of her daughter in Tingley, Iowa, aged 73 years and 17 days. While still an infant the family moved to Keokuk, Iowa, in 1865. She came with her parents to Union county and later to Ringgold county. On March 4, 1891, she was united in marriage to James R. CRISWELL (1845-1919). To this union one daughter was born, Mrs. Letha ESTEL. Her husband passed away November 3, 1919, since which time she has made her home in Lenox. When a young girl she united with the Methodist church at Afton and after moving to Lenox became a member of the U. P. church at that place. She leaves one daughter, Mrs. Letha ESTEL, three grandchildren, Robert, Reva and Donald ESTEL; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth LONG, of Fresno, Calif., and Mrs. Lizzie VINCENT, of Algona, Iowa; one brother, William, of Merced, Calif.; a niece and nephew, Mrs. Tom BLANDON and Guy GARD, of Clearfield; besides other relatives and many friends. To know her was to love her.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at one o'clock in the Tingley M. E. church, conducted by Rev. C. L. THOMAS and interment made by the side of her husband in the Kent cemetery [Morgan Cemetery, Kent, Union County, Iowa].
