OBITUARY - ARVID MILTON "BO" CLYMER
Arvid "Bo" CLYMER, 67, of Tingley died September 5, 2004, at Veteran Administration Medical Center in Des Moines.
Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 8, at Christian Church in Tingley. The Rev. Tim PETER will
officiate the service. Burial will be in Tingley Cemetery. The body was cremated and there is no visitation. A memorial
has been established in his name.
Mr. CLYMER, son of Mabel (BRADSHAW) and Earl CLYMER, was born May 10, 1937, in Diagonal. In January 1969, he married Judy
A. TOWNSEND in Reno, Nev. He was a farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Judy CLYMER of Tingley; two sons, Bob (wife Kelli) CLYMER of Prairie City and Eric (wife
Monica) CLYMER of Mount Ayr; two daughters, Terri (husband Don) CHAFA of Tingley and Beth KENNY of Des Moines; three
brothers, Kenny (wife Helen) CLYMER of Des Moines, Bing (wife JoAnn) CLYMER of Linch, Wyo., and Bill (wife Bonnie) CLYMER
of Oklahoma City, Okla.; two sisters, Audrey (husband George) ROSS of Casper, Wyo., and Rhonda CLYMER of San Francisco,
Calif.; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Melissa CLYMER May 29, 2001; a brother, Raymond CLYMER; a sister,
Pauline Van SICKLE; and two infant siblings.

OBITUARY ~ ARVID MILTON "BO" CLYMER
Arvid Milton "Bo" CLYMER was born May 10, 1937 near Diagonal, Iowa to Earl and Mabel (BRADSHOW) CLYMER. Bo graduated high
school and on June 16, 1960 he entered the U.S. Army, serving until June 4, 1962. Bo married Judy TOWNSEND in January of
Bo worked for Frank RICHARDS for 50 years on the farm. He was dedicated to his farm work and the cows that he
cared for. Bo lived for his kids and grandkids. He loved and enjoyed them. Bo was a fan of the Chicago Cubs and Kansas
Bo passed away on September 5, 2004 at the VA Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.
He was preceded in
death by his parents; a daughter, Melissa, on May 29, 2001; brother Raymond; sister Pauline Van SICKEL and two siblings
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Judy CLYMER of Tingley; sons, Bob and wife, Kelli of
Prairie City, Iowa and Eric and wife Monica of Mount Ayr, Iowa; daughters, Terri CHAFA and husband, D.J. of Tingley and
Beth KENNY of Des Moines; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; brothers, Kenny and wife, Helen of Des Moines,
Bing and wife, JoAnn of Linch, Wyoming, and Bill and wife, Bonnie of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; sisters, Audrey ROSS and
husband, George of Casper, Wyoming, and Rhonda CLYMER of San Francisco, California; nieces, nephews, other relatives
Funeral services were conducted by Wilson, Watson and Armstrong Funeral Homes at the Christian Church
in Tingley, Iowa on Wednesday, September 8, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Tim PETER officiating. Military rites were conducted
by the American Legion Ringgold Post #172. Honorary Pallbearers were Kenny CLYMER, Frank RICHARDS, Jim McINTOSH and Charles CASE.
Bo was laid to rest at the Tingley Cemetery in Tingley, Iowa.
