OBITUARY - SHIRLEY J. CLEMENTS

Shirley CLEMENTS, 62, of Mt. Ayr, died Tuesday September 9, 2008, at the Creston Nursing and Rehab Center in Creston.

Services are pending at the Powers Funeral Home, 601 New York Ave., Creston.

Shirley CLEMENTS, 62, of Creston died Sept. 10, 2008, at Creston Nursing and Rehab Center.

Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12, at the First United Methodist Church in Creston. The Rev. Jim GUBSER will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery [Creston]. Visitation with the family present will be noon Friday until service time at the church. Powers Funeral Home, junction of Highways 34 and 25, is in charge of the arrangements. Memorials may be directed to the First United Methodist Church.

Shirley CLEMENTS, 62, of Creston, died Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at the Creston Nursing and Rehab Center in Creston. Memorial services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, September 12, 2008 at First United Methodist Church in Creston. Pastor Jim GUBSER will officiate. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation with family receiving friends will be 12:00 P.M. Friday until service time, at the First United Methodist Church in Creston. Memorials are to the First United Methodist Church in Creston. Shirley Jean CLEMENTS was born December 21, 1945 in Norton, Kansas to Maxine Lenore (WAGNER) and Alvin Leon CLEMENTS. She lived in Beaver City, Neb. before moving to Ankeny in 1953, where she attended Ankeny schools, moving to Creston in 1994. While in Ankeny, Shirley attended the Ankeny United Methodist Church and more recently Creston First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her sister: Beverly Ann (husband Mike) SIMPSON of Creston; one niece: Jane Lee Ann (husband Marian) PREJSA and one nephew: James Michael (wife Jennifer) SIMPSON and two great-nieces: Vivienne SALUSOVA and Jules PREJSA. She was preceded in death by her parents.
