OBITUARY - REV. ALFRED A. C. CASEY

Born on May 27, 1922, Rev. CASEY was a retired Presbyterian minister. Rev. CASEY died October 24, 2007. His body was cremated.

Survivors include his wife Lorabel CASEY; son L. Michael CASEY; daughters Althea MADIGAN, Karen McCAUSLAND, and Colleen ARNDTS; and three grandchildren.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 3, 2007, Diagonal Cemetery, Diagonal, Iowa.

American Flag.jpg Rev. Alfred Cecil CASEY, 85, of Sharon Hill, formerly of the Folsom section of Ridley Township, died Oct. 24 at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. He was a former pastor of Folsom Presbyterian Church.

Born May 27, 1922 in Augusta, Texas., he graduated from Denison Texas High School and attended Austin College in Sherman, Texas. before graduating from Western Theological Seminary in Pittsburgh in 1951.

Rev. CASEY was ordained a Presbyterian minister in 1951 in Paris Presbytery of Texas. He worked in the Pennsylvania State Office of Employment Security for 12 years and retired as pastor of Folsom Presbyterian Church in 1975. Rev. CASEY served as a camp director for eight years at Redstone Presbyterian Camp in Jennerstown, Pa. and at a Presbyterian camp in Grand Rivers, Ky. He was a former pastor at Holden Presbyterian Church in Holden, Mo., the Presbyterian Church in Lyons, Kan. and the Presbyterian Church in Osawatomie, Kan.

Rev. CASEY was involved with Presbytery of Philadelphia, Ridley Park Presbyterian Church Choir, American Harp Society of Philadelphia and the American Legion, having served in the Air Force during World War II.

He was the son of the late Alfred Cecil "Mike" CASEY, Sr. (1892-1984) and Bess Valentine (McCLUNEY) CASEY (1892-1977), and was the brother of the late Frances RADFORD. Survivors: Wife of 60 years, Lorabel (McLAUGHLIN) (1929-2008); son, Lewis Michael CASEY of St. Paul, Minn.; daughters, Althea B. MADIGAN of Vernon, Conn., Karen McCAUSLAND of Ft. Loudon, Pa., Claudia Colleen ARNDTS of Sharon Hill; sisters, Mary E. COX of Fort Worth, Texas., Nancy R. LANDER of Lake Jackson, Texas., Jeanne WYNN of Yulee, Fla.; three grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Service: 1 p.m. Saturday, Ridley Park Presbyterian Church, Ridley and Swarthmore avenues, Ridley Park. Burial: Private, Diagonal Cemetery, Diagonal, Iowa. Contributions: Ridley Park Presbyterian Church, Ridley and Swarthmore Avenues, Ridley Park, Pennsylvania 19078. Arrangements: James F. Knoetgen Funeral Home, Morton.
