NOTICE of DEATH - LEO FRANK CARSON

Leo CARSON, 93, of Diagonal died October 27, 2006, at Clearview Home in Mount Ayr. Services are pending at Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home in Mount Ayr.

OBITUARY - LEO FRANK CARSON

Leo CARSON, 93, of Diagonal died October 27, 2006, at Clearview Home in Mount Ayr.

Services were 1:30 p.m. Monday, October 30, at the United Church of Diagonal. The Rev. Eydie STEPHENS officiated the service. Burial was in Knowlton [Centenary] Cemetery, northeast of Diagonal. Memorials may be directed Knowlton Cemetery to replace flags. Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home in Diagonal had charge of arrangements.

Leo CARSON, son of Maud (EVERLING) and Albert Eugene CARSON, was born October 12, 1913, near Nevinville in Adams County. On December 6, 1941, Leo married Dorothy Marie RUBY in Grant City, Mo. He was a farmer.

Survivors include two sons, Jack (wife Virginia) CARSON of Diagonal and Frank (wife Sue) CARSON of Creston; seven grandchildren, Pam CARSON, Sandy ARMSTRONG, Patty NEWTON, Shelly TROUTWINE, Mindy SCHAEFER, Trisha CALVIN and Nick CARSON; 20 grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Phyllis CARSON of Seymour; and brother-in-law Melvin AKERS of Pueblo, Colo.

Leo was preceded in death by his parents; wife in 1992; grandson Kenny CARSON; grandson-in-law Ronnie GARNER; two sisters, Beulah HERSOM and Lola CARSON; three brothers, Ray, Ivan and Earl CARSON; brother-in-law Everett HERSOM; four sisters-in-law, Florence CARSON, Velma CARSON, Goldie CARSON and Lucille AKERS; and special niece Betty SCHAEFER.
