C. C. CARLTON DIES AT HIS HOME SUNDAY

C. C. CARLTON, 66, died at his home in Bedford, Sunday night after a long illness. The funeral services were held at the Wetmore Funeral Home Wednesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Russell G. NYE, assisted by Rev. Gordon F. McLEAN. Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery.

Mr. CARLTON was a resident of Clearfield for many years before moving to Bedford. He is survived by his wife and three children: Mrs. [Pauline] Alan D[e Forrest] THOMPSON of Bedford, Mrs. [Catherine] Don COFER and Don CARLTON, both of Denver, Colorado. There are also four grandchildren.

OBITUARY - CECIL CLAIRE CARLTON

C[ecil] C[laire] CARLTON, who was born in Ringgold County, on December 13, 1880, was the son of native Irish parents, John M. and Sarah CARLTON.

He had been a member of, and active in the Methodist Church from his youth, attending the churches located in the communities in which he resided.

In 1908 he married Miss Edith BUCHANAN, and enjoyed the company of his children---Pauline, Donald and Catherine.

His business activities were conducted in the realm of banking and of real estate, the latter in the interest of corporations and personal.

His passing away on November 9, 1947, at the age of 67, leaves besides his wife and family, one sister, Mrs. Leota WILT; one brother, D. D. CARLTON; one granddaughter and three grandsons.

A deep sense of confidence in business relationships developed because of his high sense of honesty and integrity, and the cordial associations enjoyed within the family circle were felt by many outside.

The funeral services were held at the Wetmore Funeral Home Wednesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Russell G. NYE and Rev. Gordon F. McLEAN. Burial was in the Fairview cemetery.
