OBITUARY - N. H. [NICHOLAS HARVEY] "NICK" CAMPBELL

N.H. "Nick" CAMPBELL died January 29, 2007 at the Mount Ayr Health Care Center, at the age of 91.

Nick was born April 25, 1915 in Mildred, Colorado to William & Mabel (EASTIN) CAMPBELL. After graduation from high school in Kirk, Colorado he moved back to Iowa.

On February 23, 1937 he was married to Georgia Dale WEBB with two sons being born to this union, Larry and Alan. Nick farmed near Kellerton, IA until his retirement.

Nick was very active as a member in the Kellerton United Methodist Church, Methodist Men,the Masonic Topaz Lodge #438, Eastern Star Lodge #478, the Kellerton Lions, Ringgold County Farm Bureau and the Ringgold County Farm Bureau.

Surviving Nick are his wife Georgia of Mount Ayr, son Larry CAMPBELL and significant other Linda WILT of Mount Ayr, 3 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and 2 step-great-grandchildren; brother Glenn (Helen) CAMPBELL of Mount Ayr and sister Phyllis (Pete) DANIELS of Leon, IA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Alan, brothers Dorn and Kenneth and sister Corrine and her husband Bud HAMAKER.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, February 1, 2007, Wilson - Watson & Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe Street, Mount Ayr, Iowa.

OBITUARY - N. H. "NICK" CAMPBELL

N. H. "Nick" CAMPBELL, 91, of Mount Ayr, formerly of Kellerton, died January 29, 2007, at Mount Ayr Health Care Center.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday, February 1, at Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Montgomery St., Mount Ayr. The Rev. Rick HAWKINS will officiate the service. Burial will be in Maple Row Cemetery at Kellerton. Open visitation will be after 10 a.m. Wednesday with the family receiving friends 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home in Mount Ayr. Memorials may be directed to Mount Ayr Chapter of Hospice of Central Iowa or Mount Ayr Health Care Center. Online condolences may be left at:

Nick CAMPBELL, son of Mabel Lenore (EASTIN) and William Clinton CAMPBELL, was born April 25, 1915, in Mildred, Colo. He graduated from Kirk High School in Kirk, Colo., in 1932. On February 23, 1937, Nick married Georgia Dale WEBB in Bethany, Mo. He was a farmer. He was a member of Kellerton United Methodist Church, Methodist Men, Topaz Lodge No. 438 Masonic Lodge, Eastern Star Lodge No. 478, Ringgold County Farm Bureau, Kellerton Lions Club and a former 4-H leader.

Survivors include his wife, Georgia CAMPBELL of Mount Ayr; son Larry CAMPBELL (significant other Linda WILT) of Mount Ayr; brother Glenn (wife Helen) CAMPBELL of Mount Ayr; sister Phyllis (husband Pete) DANIELS of Leon; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.

Nick was preceded in death by his parents; son Alan CAMPBELL; two brothers, Dorn and Kenneth CAMPBELL; sister Corrine HAMAKER; and brother-in-law Bud HAMAKER.
