OBITUARY ~ CHARLES R. CALDWELL

Charles R. CALDWELL passed away Friday, August 26, 2011, at the Mount Ayr Health Care Center of heart failure at the age of 85 years.

Charles was born in Lenox, Iowa on October 27, 1926, the son of Charles and Faye CALDWELL. In Charles' working days, he was a professional truck driver, skilled carpenter, mechanic and amateur fisherman.

Those left to remember Charlie include his children, Kathy BROKATE of Broomfield, Colorado, Dan (Debbie) CALDELL of Ledyard, Connecticut, Dennis (Patti Jo) CALDWELL of Altoona, Iowa, Peggy BRENDSEL of Sun City, Arizona, Sherry (Larry) ECKSTEIN of Albany, Oregon and Nora (John) FECHNEROF of Glendale, Arizona; many beloved grandchildren; sister, Maxine ETHINGTON of Cedar Falls, Iowa,and special friend, Berneeta AUSTIN of Mount Ayr, Iowa.

Charles was cremated and services will be held at a later date at Eldorado Springs, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers, make any donations to the Animal Rescue League of Iowa in Des Moines. Send donations to Dennis CALDWELL at 9152 NE 38th Avenue, Altoona, IA 50009.

Watson-Armstrong Funeral Home in Mount Ayr assisted the family.
