He came with his parents to Ringgold County when he was eleven years of age and has continued a resident of this county 69 years. In the year of 1916 he retired from the farm in Clinton township, where he grew to manhood and moved to Mount Ayr, where he since had resided.

Besides his wife and children, all of whom are living, he leaves to mourn his death one brother, George W. FISHER, residing near Redding, Iowa, seven grandchildren and a host of friends and neighbors.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Mount Ayr Church of Christ, being conducted by the pastor, Rev. W. Harold SMITH, and burial was in Rose Hill cemetery [Mount Ayr].

Card of Thanks.

We cannot forget the sincere kindness and deep sympathy of our friends and neighbors tendered us in the recent passing of our dear husband and father. For your comforting words, kind acts and beautiful flowers we are sincerely grateful and will always remember. As we cannot see all and express to each our deep appreciation, we take this means of showing our gratitude for your kind and sympathetic helps.
--Mrs. James R. FISHER and Children.
