Geo Hawk Suffers Loss of Arm in Haybaler

Geo. B. HAWK, 38 years of age, and mayor of Redding, suffered the loss of his left hand in a haybaler accident about ten o'clock Monday morning.

Mr. HAWK was baing hay with a roto haybaler on the J. O. LYNCH farm, west of Redding, when the accident happened. He was along at the time and after his had had been severed he walked an eighth of a mile before being picked up in a car by a man from Blockton, who took him to the office of O. L. FULLERTON in Redding.

He was removed in the Prugh-Dunfee ambulance from Mount Ayr to Maryville, MO., where he entered the St. Francis Hospital, and where it was deemed advisable to amputate the remainder of the arm, just below the elbow.

Latest reports from the hospital are that Mr. HAWK'S condition is satisfactory.
