Tingley Lions place in tourneys
The Tingley Lions major baseball team placed second in the "Shorty" Brown Memorial Tournament last week end in Lenox.
Team members are (front row, L to R) Keelan Klommhaus, Cole Clymer, Tyler Jarred, Cole Mobley and Tyler Jones;
(back row) Christopher Kemery, Reas Knapp, Grant Anderson, Cade Clymer, Austin Greenland, Isaac Grose.
(Not pictured: Kolben Klommhaus.) Coaches for the team are Kelly Klommhaus, Spence Jones, Eric Clymer and Dan Pearcy.
The team took third place in the Tingley Majors Tournament May 18.

It's Tournament Time!
The Mount Ayr minor girls softball team has finished with a championship the last two weekends. Their first championship
was earned at the Mount Ayr Minors Girls Softball Tournament on June 1. Then this last weekend, they earned championship
at the Wayne Minors Girls Softball Tournament. Team members include: (front row, L-R)) Melaina Haley, Jalyn Klejch,
coach Matt Henle, Payten Lambert, Baylee Darrah and Adalyn Reynolds;
(second row) Ryleigh Haveman, Montana Birkenholz, Anne James and Loryn Schaefer;
(back row) coach Rob Haley, Channler Henle, Hope Whittington and coach Ryan Reynolds.
The boys blue minor team sponsored by Denney Trucking were champions at the Afton Little League tournament held Friday and
Saturday June 7-8. Team members include: (front row, L-R) Raines Sackett, Trenton Swank, Bryce Shaha, Drew Ehlen,
Will Newton and manager Brock Shaha; (second row) Brandon Brobst, Hunter Pearce, Erik Trujillo, Payton Weehler, Dawson
Swank, PJ Lynch and Trae Ehlen; (back) coaches Kristi Sackett, Tom Sackett and Jill Ehlen.
The Tingley Lions took first place in the East Union majors tournament held last week.

Tri-County League tourney champions and runners-up
The Mount Ayr 2 majors team finished up the year by winning the Tri-County League tournament held in Mount Ayr over the
weekend. Members of the team include; (front row, L-R) Bobby Peterman, Jacob Rushing, Zach Doster and Blake Rychnovsky;
(second row) coach David Greene, Myles Greene, Samual Blanton, Josh Cox, Dalton Elwood, coach Chris Eaton, Connor Eaton,
Hunter Haveman and coach Dan Haveman.
