There will be a combination of classes in three grade levels at the Grand Valley Community elementary school next year, according to William HULLINGER, superintendent. Contingent on approval by the Grand Valley Community school board, there will be five classrooms active at the elementary school next year and kindergarten students will attend all year, all day under the new plan.

Barbara DOSER, a senior at Grand Valley high school, received a $250 scholarship from the Department of Home Economics at Northwest Missouri State University for the 1983-84 academic year.

New members inducted into the Parnassus Chapter of the National Honor Society at Mount Ayr Community high school were Joe FELL, Lynnette KNIGHT, Shawn GEORGE, Kevin MYERS, Mike WIMER, Alan BAKER and Kathy ROTERT.

Ringgold County Beef Queen Terrinda KLOMMHAUS, presented beef certificates worth $30 to the Challenge Center in Mount Ayr this week as part of the CowBelles Ag Week activities.

Leslie BARKER of Benton placed third in the Area 14 spelling bee for seventh and eighth graders held in Creston recently.
