A new bridge was put in place just north of Mount Ayr over the river which runs past Fife's Grove Park.

Drinking water across the county will be subject to more testing and changes in water treatment systems will be necessary to meet the new requirements. That's the word from Mount Ayr city superintendent Gary Hensley, who says the city will soon have an engineering study of the city's water treatment plant to see what changes will have to be made.

Eight new members were inducted into the Pamussus chapter of the Natonal Honor Society in ceremonies Monday night.
