RETOLD OLD NEWS

Mount Ayr Record-News
Mount Ayr, Ringgold County, Iowa
Thursday, September 29, 1966

by Chanse Hall, Mount Ayr Record-News

Today is new car showing day in Mount Ayr. At most of the local dealers, the new 1967 models go on disply and auto enthusiasts will be on hand to see them. The women will be interested in the various interior color schemes and upholstery fabrics, while the men, of course, will be more interested in what's under the hood.

Members of the Mount Ayr Methodist Men's organization went into the cattle business this summer and netted themselves over $1,100 for use in th especial projects they carry on.

An official count of the students enrolled in the Mount Ayr Community School District, as completed September 16, for the Iowa Department of Public Instruction, showed an increase of five,or 1.115 in comparison with the figures released at the opening of the 1966-67 school year.

Five break-ins of Ringgold county business establishments in a comparable number of days have been reported by Sheriff Elbert Strange and his deputy, LaVerne Worthington
