Robert McCREARY, a member of the Junior Farmers 4-H Club, has been elected president of the 4-H boys' organization in Ringgold County. Jim WATSON, a member of the same club was elected vice-president, and Robert DENNEY will serve as secretary-treasurer.

DIAGONAL - Verladean TAYLOR, daughter of Mr.and Mrs. J. R. TAYLOR, as united in marriage to Paul VARNER, son of Supt. and Mrs. O. C. VARNER, on June 22 with the ring ceremony being performed by the Rev. JORDON in the home of the bride's parents. The young couple will be at home in Diagonal, where Mr. VARNER is employed by Jas. CREW & Son.

BIRTHS

  • HICKORY GROVE - A nine-pound son was born June 20, to Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur LAY and he has been named Robert Lee.
