It's back to the state tournament for Raider 215-pounder Kevin TRULLINGER, who placed seventh in last years' big event at Veteran's Auditorium in Des Moines.

A Valentine's king and queen were named at the Mount Ayr Health Care Center Saturday, Feb. 14, during the celebration for the holiday there. Lawrence and Grace COMBS were voted as the king and queen for the day.

A Mount Ayr Community elementary school fourth grader placed third in the state Elks Club Hoop Shoot competition held in Ames Saturday. Drake DECKER, son of Bill and Lori DECKER of Mount Ayr, placed third in the 10 to 11-year-old age group. He made 21 of 24 free throws.
