Mr. and Mrs. Ed Richey and family will move today (Thursday) to Des Moines, where he will be employed in a paint and wallpaper store.

Bernard B. Dolecheck, who recently tendered his resignation as postmaster at Diagonal, annouced the he has purchased the Earl Rhoden stock of merchandise at Clearfield, with possession to be given the first of the year. Mr. Dolecheck will hold over as postmaster until a successor can be appointed.

More than 1,100 sacks of candy and nuts were distributed Monday afternoon as a treat to the children of Ringgold county. Santa Claus (Dub Campbell) was assisted by S. W. Holland, Robert Skinner, Raymond Bagley, Chas. J. Lesan and Cecil Neamer.

BIRTHS:

  • Born, December 22, to Mr. and Mrs. Clete Madison, a daughter. Weight, eight pounds.
