Preliminary sales figures from the livestock auction at the Ringgold County Fair showed a total of $34,666.50, compared to $31,692 recorded at the sale in 2003.

Four games this week brought the softball season to a close for the Mount Ayr Raiderette softball team. The girls opened the week with a 5-4 win over West Central Valley in the Creston tournament Wednesday. They then took a 11-0 loss to Pleasantville and a 604 loss to Corning later on in the week.

For the Raiders baseball team, they fell to Interstate 35 12-4 in the district semi-final game against the Roadrunners. The Raiders finished their season with a 17-12 record.
