Plans are being formulated for the erection of a large, completely modern sale barn on what is known as the Sada DOWLING acreage just west of Rose Hill Cemetery. The site has been purchased by Glen DIZON (sic, should be DIXON), F.B. MALORY (sic, should be MALOY) and Floyd MILLER, cattle feeders and stockmen, who will operate community sales each Tuesday as soon as the building is completed.

W.H. McFARLAND, superintendent of the Mount Ayr Schools, has been elected president of the Mount Ayr Co-operative club, and Percy SPENCER and Clyde LESAN were re-elected secretary and treasurer, respectively. Other officers elected are Dr. C.C. LAWHEAD, R.C. SMITH and Dr. B.W. KNIGHT, first, second and third vice-presidents, and P.J. McGRATH, sergeant-at-arms.

Owners of the grand champion group of baby beeves exhibited recently at the St. Joseph Baby Beef and Pig Club Show are Maurice O'CONNOR, Darold BLAUER, Kenneth CLOUGH, Charles HOGUE and Harold BLAUER.
