There is a new doctor in Ringgold county. He is Sudhir MARGATTA, M.D. and M.S., who arrived Friday to be associated with Dr. Duane E. MITCHELL in a practice of medicine and general surgery.

Shelly WILKINS of Tingley and Rod FARIS of Mount Ayr received tropies presented by Mount Ayr Lions for their leadership given to the county's 4-H.

Denise JOBE, 16-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jim JOBE of Ellston, was to leave today for Austrailia where she will spend the next year as part of the Youth For Understanding program.

Eighteen Mount Ayr Community high school vocal students will be participating in the 27th annual Creston Little-All-State Choral Festival. They are: Helen BOESE, Lisa REED, Robyne SMITH, Martha WAUGH, Larua FORD, Julie HAROVER, Linda WEEDA, Shelly WILKINS, Fred BRYAN, Dave FREED, Dave GALE, Bruce HENRY, Russell HUGHES, Kevin JOHNSON, Tom KRAMER, Lee MEKUS, Kevin PULLIAM and Dave SMITH.

MACHS band students playing in the Southwest Iowa Bandmasters Honor Band Festival will be: Helen BROSE, flute; Julie HAROVER, French horn; Lee MEKUS, tuba; and Carol MICHAEL, baritone. Playing in the junior high honor band are: Kevin MYERS, bass clarinet; Lisa BARKER, clarinet; and Terrinda KLOMMHAUS, trumpet.

The Tingley Friendship Meal Site will be celebrating its fifth anniversary on Jan. 19. Music will be provided by the Gospel Trio from Arispe -- Don WILSON, Ed FRY and Francis SWEET, accompanied by Patience HASTIE.
