Janis SOBOTKA has been selected by Ringgold Unit 172, American Legion Auxiliary, as its delegate to Hawkeye Girls State, to be held during the month of June at the State College of Iowa in Cedar Falls.

The Mount Ayr Raiders will be out to win their fourth consecutive title in the Tall Corn Conference track meet scheduled for April 20, in Villisca.

Herb BASTOW, senior in the Mount Ayr Community High School, was named "Mr. FBLA" (Future Business Leader of America) during the 19th annual Iowa state convention of the organization held Friday and Saturday at the State College of Iowa in Cedar Falls.

Duane MILLER came up with an outstanding all-around performance at the Mustang Relays Tuesday night in Shenandoah as he scored 17 points for the Mount Ayr Community High School track team. He placed first in the broad jump; second in the 100 and 220-yard dashes and third in the 440.
