Several personnel decisions were made for the 1990-91 school year and official actions for the new school year were handled at the regular meeting of the Mount Ayr Community school board. Marty Aldrich, who has been
instrumentsl music director at Mount Ayr Community high school the past five years, submitted his resignation at the meeting Monday. James Uhlenkamp of Mission, TX was hired for the English department was Amy Shields
and Ken Markley.
Grand opening for Extremes Pizza, the new restaurant and arcade in Mont Ayr, was held recently and members of the Mount Ayr Chamber of Commerce were on hand for the ribbon cutting.
Dr. Tim Swinton, his wife Jan and their four children, Nathan, Hannah, Sam and Aaron, will be leaving July 23 for Sierre Leone where the adults will be involved as medical missionaries.
