RETOLD OLD NEWS

Mount Ayr Record-News
Mount Ayr, Ringgold County, Iowa
Thursday, April 11, 1991

by Chanse Hall, Mount Ayr Record-News

A diamond anniversary, a 75th, will be celebrated by the Mount Ayr Public Library at an open house April 18.

An area women's conference, "To Make a Difference" held at Southwestern Community College in Creston on March 25, attracted over 200 women from the east half of the Southwest Iowa Extension Area.

William S. Sessions, director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, will give the main address during commencement at Graceland College in Lamoni on Sunday in the Bruce Jenner Sports Complex Stadium.

Mount Ayr Foods grocery store received a new owner, Brad Loy, a new Mount Ayr resident.

Grand Valley and Lamoni athletes combined for their track teams for the season.

The Mount Ayr girls completely dominated their competition at the Pride of Iowa Conference Indoor Track Meet held last week at Pella. The Raiderettes scroed 156 points, a full 71 points more than second place Southeast Warren.
