Officials of the Pioneer Manufacturing Company of Kansas City, MO, visited Mount Ayr Saturday to inspect the new building which will house the Mount Ayr cap factory.

Class B teams of Mount Ayr, Carroll, Harlan and Anita and Class A debaters of Denison and Abraham Lincoln (Council Bluffs) participated in three one-hour debates Saturday at the Iowa Forensic League district debate constest in Harlan.

47 Students of the fifth, sixth and seventh grades of the Mount Ayr school participated in the South Central Iowa Bandmasters solo and ensemble contest held March 4, on the Simpson college campus in Indianola. Over 850 students of 20 schools took part.
