Kasey Dredge, Mount Ayr Record-News

Mrs. Clyde LESAN has been appointed director of relief in Ringgold County, announcement of which has beenmade by King PALMER, chairman of the state board of welfare. Mrs. LESAN, who also serves as a member of the local board of social welfare, succeeds Dr. J. W. HILL, who has served in that capacity for several years.

Tingley -- Newly elected officers of the Farmers Institute are G. A. SHIFFLET, president; Noel B. SENEY, vice-president; C. E. BOSWORTH, secretary; and, D. L. McCLURE, treasurer. The institute will be held August 10, 11 and 12.

Lyle NEWMAN and Richard PRENTIS, who were chosen by the American Legion to attend the Hawkeye Boys State Camp, which is sponsored by the American Legion, were taken Monday to Fort Dodge by Richard's father, X. T. PRENTIS. Expenses at the camp are paid by the Legion, Commercial Club and local firemen's organization.
