A new children’s book, written by the sister of a Redding woman, has recently been published and author Sami Cowsert of Clinton, MO was in Mount Ayr at the public library last week to sign copies. “Tammi and Her Dragon” is written by Cowsert, who is the sister of Colleen Kelly and sister-in-law of Tom Kelly of Redding.

 

 

What started out as a hobby has grown to a full-fledged business at the Red Brick Winery in Ellston. What started out as an effort to have a vineyard as a hobby and make wine for their own use has grown over time into a business with bigger plans for Jon and Carol Mobert of Sun Valley Lake.

There will be more cost and more and more hurdles to jump through but the Gooseberry Lake project will not be stopped by new eminent domain legislation. That was the word from Marion James, attorney for the Gooseberry Lake Agency board, at its regular meeting Thursday.
