LeGrande MILLER of Lamoni became sole owner of the Mount Ayr Livestock Market, effective as of yesterday (Wednesday). This is the first time that the market has been owned by one person since its establishment in 1938.

Mr. and Mrs. Glenn HALE of Mount Ayr announce the engagement of their daughter, Phyllis Joan, to Melvin MARSHALL, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gernie MARSHALL of Mount Ayr.

Family reunions have been held recenlty by these families: AUSTINS, GLENDENNINGS, OLNEYS, RUSKS and the descendants of the John Ross and Alice STEPHENS, Benjamin MILLER and late Henry MILLER families.

The Mount Ayr Vets went to Princeton, MO Wednesday night and dropped an 8to 5 encounter and then on Sunday defeated a rather inept Clearfield team on the local diamond, 13 to 0. In the oppening inning Sunday, MARKLEY hit a three-run homer over the centerfield fence and two innings later GEIST drove a three-run homer over the right field barrier.

Members of the Ringgold county community committees of the Production Marketing Administration were re-elected at the county convention held Saturday at the PMA office in Mount Ayr. Members were Warren DRAKE, chairman, who is serving his ninth consecuitve year as chairman of the PMA office; Howard L. BRYANT, vice-chairman, seventh year; Emerson R. SAVILLE, member, third year; Lyndon TAYLOR, first alternate, second year; and Cecil ALLEN, second alternate, second year.
